The Pinotage Dinner
October marks the birth month of Abraham Izak Perold, an ex-Wellington scholar and father of Pinotage, the only indigenous cultivar that justifiably belongs to South Africa.
Each year, Wellington Wines pays homage to this extra special cultivar during the month of October, starting off with a formal Pinotage dinner.
At this prestigious event, we showcase our celebrities, which include a white Pinotage, pink Pinotage, an every-day Pinotage, a premium Pinotage, a coffee-style Pinotage and a Cape Blend-style of Pinotage (a blend true to South Africa due to its Pinotage component).
What else can you expect at this event?
Let’s just be upfront and say it’s a rather distinguished and celebratory Pinotage affair!
A 5-course dinner is served, where each course has been meticulously paired with a selected Pinotage from the Wellington Wines portfolio.
But in addition, guests can also look forward to various exciting aspects to this event, which include art displays, interactive wine painting, table themes, live music, dancing and healthy dose of good fun too!
Seats to this event are highly sought-after, and every year has achieved a sell-out performance since inception! If you wish to attend this formidable event at all, you might like to book now. (even if it is only for the next years’ event!)
